The Homecoming Game was underway!
When the crowd finally settled down, Papa Jumpers turned to Justin.
"Are you happy here on this campus?"
"Yes, Papa. I love it here. You and Mama are here. All my friends are here. There are tall trees to climb and yummy acorns to eat."
Papa smiled again. He held out the bag of acorns. Justin grabbed another pawful.
"That's right. Yet someday you will go off into the great big world."
The idea of leaving frightened Justin. He did not understand life beyond the trees. Why would anyone leave the comfort of this place?
A thunderous cheer suddenly filled the Autumn air. The gigantic Georgetown Prep running back rumbled for a touchdown. The whole campus shook with excitement. But Justin was still confused.
